This protective layer sets the foundation of our ASSOS Layering System, doing the job of keeping your upper half lightly insulated and dry in the cool, challenging conditions of spring and fall. Having been tested over and over again by our product team until we were finally satisfied, the Spring/Fall SS Skin Layer represents a total first-layer reset.

Cycling in cool autumnal and spring conditions can be difficult to dress for. You can soon be too hot and sweaty after harder efforts which then makes you cold when you back off the pace. And yet take it steady and you can soon feel a chill. The ASSOSOIRES Spring Fall Skin Layer looks to address this dilemma.

For a start, the carbon and polypropylene yarns offer significantly improved insulation and moisture management in comparison to previous models of Assos base layers. The technical blend of medium-weight fabrics balances both excellent insulation levels with an impressive ability to rapidly wick away sweat from the skin. The result is a smooth, insulating, and antibacterial short-sleeve first layer that keeps your core dry and protected under your outer layers.

Elastane fibres are also used to give the base layer its close to the body stretch fit and allow for easy mobility too. And with a Circular Knit construction, there are no seams to cause undue irritation. Thanks to this construction it's some 11% lighter than it's Skinfoil predecessors too, making it less noticeable than ever before. It's the perfect first layer of your transitional season's cycling wardrobe.
